OUR NEW YOUTH MINISTER
I am pleased to introduce to you Katie Grogan, our new Youth Minister. Her ministry in a Catholic school and parishes will serve her (and us) very well in her new mission. We are very pleased the Lord has sent her to us.
Katie and her husband David have four children, whom you will meet soon. Please welcome Katie to our parish communities and pray for her outreach to our young people.
Many of us supported the Reigniting our Faith Capital Campaign. It was the clear goal of the donors to support a reinvigorated youth ministry program.
As your Pastor, it has been a blessing to assist in executing this vision for our pastoral activity. This is Good News; congratulations, Katie, and welcome!
Our sister parishes:
St. Adalbert and St. Paul the Apostle
A very big thank you to all who have contributed to meeting our Diocesan Appeal obligation! We have come a long way since July 1. St. Paul's Parish still has a little way to go. We need a few more helping hands to make it to the finish line by Friday, June 30.
You know the Appeal supports our future priests. The annual Appeal supports so much more in our parishes. For this week, let me spotlight our human resources. First things first: God has blessed us with our pastoral ministers!
Not long ago, it wasn't complicated for parishes to hire employees. Nowadays, there are many laws employees and employers must follow. Federal and state law prescribes the completion of so many documents and forms. The Church and the state demand annual safe environment training by video, and the list could go on and on. If we didn't have the Appeal, our parishes would need to hire an HR director to manage these regulations. But because you and I support the Diocesan Appeal, we save money. The employees of the Human Resources Department of the diocese help keep us in compliance with the law. This department is directly funded by our Diocesan Appeal offerings. The HR department charges us nothing for advertising our positions on commercial websites. Most recently, the HR team connected us to Kristin Fullerton and Katie Grogan. The Lord has blessed us with such talented people in the diocesan HR department and for our pastoral team.
So, thank you again for helping us meet our obligations through the Diocesan Appeal.
God's peace to you,
